Know Why Panasonic Toughbook CF 20 is so Demanding
All connection
options and ports are hidden under the "auto-close" flap. This looks
like part of the design is frustrating, given that you have to hold the flap
with one hand before connecting the cable. Its right side consists of a
removable battery pack, SDXC card reader, Express slot, and USB 2.0 and USB 3.0
ports.
The back consists of
an Ethernet port, HDMI, VGA port, Fisher grade USB slot, COM port, and two
standard USB 2.0 ports, and the DVD drive has a slot on the left. The headphone
and microphone jack slots are next to the front handle.
The hinges are very strong, and the Panasonic toughbook cf 20 can do a similar 180-degree collapse. The tough book build is very sturdy, and you don't have to worry if you drop it many times, but it's always a little worrisome because it has a "semi-tough" label. Behind your head. Also, the LCD screen doesn't look as rugged as the rest of the Toughbook and feels fragile.
Feature
This Toughbook has
an Intel Core vPro i5 CPU running at 2.5GHz. It has 4GB of RAM and 320GB of
hard drive space. Graphics have never been one of the necessary or essential
points of a rugged book, and of course, the notebook comes with an integrated
Intel HD graphics card. It works with the 32-bit version of Windows 7
Professional. Panasonic includes battery backup and recalibration and
restoration software.
Performance
The critical
feedback is pretty good with the wide palm rest they provided, and the track
pad is also excellent in terms of button feel and feedback.
The speakers are as
big as your average Toughbook, and the viewing angle is pretty good. Shutdown
time was recorded in 7 seconds, while boot time was recorded in an average of
21 seconds. This is pretty fast, at least compared to the E420. Given that
there is no warm-up and the body is quite large.
Battery
life
This Toughbook has a
removable 6750mAh battery. I increased the brightness and performance settings
and ran the Battery Eater test. The Toughbook battery ran for a total of 2
hours and 30 minutes before giving up.
You can quickly get
more than 5 hours of use from this beast in everyday use, and the battery is
more optimized than the average Toughbook.
